GOW3 is on another level of epicness. Sandbox games I feel can't achieve this because of the natue of the game. Linear games can have a more focused approach. Anyways I am biased to the GOW series since it is probably my favorite. I will be getting RDR this weekend so hopefully they fix the multi.
So you have to be a fanboy to prefer GOW3 over ME2. Wow that's not a fanboy comment at all....
I wasn't gonna get this game but reading comments of other people has me pumped, in addition to some footage that I saw. I am a ps3 owner only so therefore PS3 for me. Nothing against the 360 but don't have much time for 2 consoles. Although I am thinking of getting one. Whatever version you buy the important thing is to enjoy the game. Add me for some multiplayer:

It's hard to find one. However rest assured the TV came out in 2008 and still no T V has surpassed it. Maybe you can still find one because they are worth it.

MAG is awesome. Haven't played much lately with GOD II and now heavy rain. Probably go in tonight. However something I want zipper to work on is the hit detection. It's not right to hit a guy with 6 or 7 shots to the torso or in his back and not die. Other than that this game is great.
Wanted to clarify that the difference that you see in the tv sets is picture quality not necessarily 720 or 1080. For example I can find a 720 tv that looks better than a 1080. I see alot of people who make the same mistake.
I'm so pumped for this game. The series is my second favorite behind MGS. It's going to be epic. Chaos will rise again.
I will be honest I was in one of the closed betas, and was not planning on buying the game. Was not hooked. However, the open beta came and was extremely impressed and decided to buy the full game and am blown away. I am completely hooked.
The problem with the closed beta was that the mode available was acquisition, but that is a hard mode that is very difficult to comprehend on your very first playthrough. You don't know what's going on and that is a problem I feel alot peopl...
I hate to say, but Halo MLG is right about Sony's tvs being overpriced. Don't get me wrong there very good tvs but you can get much better picture quality for less, especially if you go with Panasonic viera, the best in the market since Pioneer is out of the tv market. Also I read people saying that LCD's are better for gaming, and that is a misconception, since Plasma motion resolution is way superior to LCD. Plasma FTW.
Killzone 2 was awesome, the multiplayer was excellent, not perfect, but what is. My GOTY is UC2, I mean that game is just increidible. But Killzone 2 deserved a nomination. Funny people say that Killzone 2 is only about graphics, but the gameplay was awesome, its just that people use the gameplay to critize the game. I mean they can't attack the graphics.
I see plenty of people saying that killzone 2 didn't sell as well as Sony expected, however, do we really know what Sony was expecting. MGS4 numbers as someone suggested is crazy, MGS is a game known by millions, KZ is practically a new franchise. Yes, alot of hype, but internet hype, what about real world, not just internet. We should stop assuming what are Sony's projections.
I am a huge fan of the MGS series, and I hope that MGS:R is good, although in all honestly I wish it was a sequel or prequel to the MGS world. Because the reality is that this will not be MGS in the sense of tactical espionage. The fact that it went multi doesn't matter to me, I just hope it has some of those MGS elements that make the series so special.
I only own a PS3, and never used live, however, based on some comments I've read on this site it seems live offers more connectivity. While cross game chat and invite are definitely cool, I am happy with the PSN so if these features come then good, but so far I can play online for free and with little to no lag, so im happy. Really, it is up to the user, if those features are essential for your enjoyment then yes, live is better, but if you only care about playing online and chat with the peo...
Wow awesome. I have both for the PS2, but my 60 gig was stolen so I had to buy one of the newer 80 gig without backward compatibility. I didn't notice but hope they include a demo of GOW3. Hopefully they do the same with the MGS series and SOC.
In my opinion Sony will pass MS and the reason is that Sony is going to be selling PS3's way after MS leaves the 360 to market their next console. Look at the PS2 it's still selling after 9 years in the market. All the PS3 needs is a price cut. Imagine how many people will buy a PS3 once it is selling for $200 and yes we will have to wait a long time for the price but it will eventually happen.
